I have had trouble with programs crashing on Kegs.  If you are wanting
to use IIGS software a really good emulator is Bernie ][ the Rescue
but
it won't work on OS X.  It will work on OS 9 and below.  If you want
to
run IIe software a good emulator is Catakig and it will work on OS X.

I haven't used Kegs enough to help you but the others work great.
