Doh! I knew that.

Memo to self: review details and do blindingly obvious calculations
before committing a post.

The 2708 was also a nuisance because it required several voltages for
normal operation (all available on an Apple II slot), but the 2716 was
able to run from +5V only (as long as you got it from the right
manufacturer). It still needed a high voltage for programming, but that
wasn't done in-system.

It would be handy if someone can test it and make sure I didn't make any
typos in the machine code translation.
