Re: IIGS - Clock/PRAM chip

Hey Michael.
May I ask what is the location of the PRAM in the IIgs? I can't seem to
find where the battery traces go.
The PRAM is in the clock chip.
I assume it's very near the battery, but I'm not looking at one
right now.
I have some dead IIgs Motherboards here. Maybe I can pull the IC and send
them to John and Polymorph.
The chip is not bad.
Deduction is a wonderful tool. ;-)
John: I can always send some new connectors for the battery pack if you
want to try that.
If these are "slip-on" connectors for the old battery's wires, then
the connector is only half the problem--the wires themselves are the
other half, and *both* need to be clean and shiny, with good contact
pressure.
