(I don't know why it says "me" in the From area. Google Groups is
dumb.)
Anyway!
I'm looking for information about two games for the Apple IIc. The
first was called Chem Lab and was a game about combining chemicles to
create new compounds in order to complete a riddle or mission found
int he instruction manual. It came with a big old binder and had a
stereotypical nerd on the cover with the white lab coat and oversized
glasses (complete with tape!).
I can't remember the name of the other game, but it was a side-
scrolling adventure/mystery game in which you played a reporter for a
London newspaper. You had a week or something to get the scoop on a
mystery regarding something's disappearance or someone's death, but
the main things I remember are that the game had its own internal time
clock (meaning you needed to get 8 hours of sleep each night and that
things could happen in one area of town while you were in another).
Also notable was the fact that as a kid, it was the first time I'd
ever seen the subject of domestic abuse suggested in a game. (You
would find that one of your contacts got into an argument with her
emotially abusive boyfriend/husband which finally gets physical).
Can anyone help me at all?
