The Serial Pro requires you to select day of the week, where, 0-6 = Sunday-Saturday. This is the one I've been attempting to repair. I am able to set the time, and it remembers it even when removed from the slot, but, it refuses to run.
I would suspect the crystal. This is an extremely low-power oscillator circuit, and almost anything around the crystal could cause it to stop oscillating. Some clocks must be put in "hold" mode before reading or setting, and then "released" to run after. Is it possible that the software is not "releasing" the clock? -michael NadaNet networking for Apple II computers!
