Orca's beep example is pretty sparse.  Check out HyperCard IIGS
Technote #1 (http://www.umich.edu/~archive/apple2/technotes/tn/hcgs/
TN.HCGS.001) for a more complicated beep example, in APW C.  The
HyperCard IIgs Script Language Guide book had a chapter on writing
XCMDs/XFCNs, but the book was mostly concerned with the HyperTalk
language, If I recall correctly.
