I've got an Macintosh LC III with the Apple PDS card in it. I've also
got several other Macs connected to the Internet. I'm currently
working on getting binscii working. I've downloaded the
binscii.exe.txt file (ascii text). Unfortunately, when its downloaded
on my Macs, the Mac assigns it its own filetype which causes it to come
over to ProDOS as a $00 file type.
A little researching I came across a program called ProType, which does
convert my file to a ProDOS text file.
But when I run EXEC BINSCII.EXE.TXT on the Apple //e emulator on the
LCIII I get about 8 lines of hex code, then a whole bunch of SYNTAX
ERRORS and then it just comes back to the Basic prompt. No SYS file
was created during this process, and according to the instructions that
come with binscii, this is completely not the normal behavior.
Any ideas?
