Hello,
Would you like to clone IOU / MMU chips? You have a better
understanding information from "Understanding the Apple //e" manual. You
have the information about the timing and logic circuit already. You will
need Logic Anaylzer to capture pulse stream from some or all IOU / MMU's
pins. Fill the gaps using Jim Sather's schematic and/or yours. Build new
custom chip. Use Logic Anaylzer to capture pulse stream from custom chip's
pins. Compare pulse stream data from both IOU / MMU chip and custom chip.
If they are identical, but schematic is different on both chips, you are
ready to install custom chip on the MMU / IOU socket of Apple //e's
motherboard.
Do you expect it to work?
