The above link is actually about routine cleaning, and,
as the original article points out, yellowing is not a dirt
problem.

And this one seems to be in agreement with the original
article, particularly on the point that there is nothing
that can be done to reverse the process (so that only
painting can obscure the yellowed plastic).
