Are there any 65816 card schematics?

Hello.
I was wondering if there are any schematics for a 65816 card. I pretty much
just want them for research. I want to make a 65816 card, but I have no
idea if it is viable. I know there's the Zip Chips which replace the CPU
(right? I've never actually seen one) And the Z80 cards which live in a
card slot. So I'm guessing there's no real problem with having a 65816 in a
slot?

The address/databus demuxing, RAM on the card etc is easy enough. I was just
wondering about the 65816 <-> System BUS interface.

The extra maximum speed of the '816 doesn't matter to me. It was just going
to run at the system speed. It's the extra address space and opcodes that
interest me.

I'm asking because I'd like to do a USB board but it seems like a waste of a
slot to have just the little USB interface and nothing else on a board.

While I'm at it. Should I bother with the uC based low level interface for
the USB still or just use the IC directly like the other USB interfaces?

Sure it's a rather pointless project, but IMHO it'd be fun to play with at
least. And it'd give a use to my otherwise useless Apple ][ (All my good
bits are in the platinum).
