And Apple even has a list of "vintage" and "obsolete" products on its
website that AppleCare won't service. Very convenient, that -- although
with a new Apple Store opening up around here, I'd really like to lug
my II up to the Genius Bar and let them have a look at the good ol'
days...

Fortunately, you don't have to define it yourself. Apple has a list of
obsolete computer products they update every now and then. The Apple 2
is on it. In fact, the Blue and White G3 just went on the list during
the last update.

"The manufacturer said so" is a pretty good defense, should a problem
come up.
