Sync iCalc w'ont work

I like to sync my iCalc with my second portable. I d'ont want to use .mac
because I am using Personal Backup X4. But with sync it does not work.
Does somebody know's wich file it is that apple use to sync with and tghat
contains the data. When I am looking on the support pages of Apple all
thye solutions are with .mac and there backup program Backup.
