The A2M2010, Monitor // was introduced around the time of the //e
revision from the hard plastic ][/+ like case to the thinner injection
mold type. The most noticable change then was the color of the keycap
letters. The underlaying keyboard also changed.

The monitor option for the //e was the Monitor /// with the slide under
stand that was also offered with the ][+ towards the end of production
of it. The original typical monitor option offered by dealers was the
9" B&W Sanyo box monitor and then the Green 12" Zenith TV looking
monitor was the common addition.

If you splurged you got an Amdek Color-1 composite monitor. But those
who had 80 column cards typically didn't take this route as the Amdek
Color-1 80 col. display was pretty nasty. If you wanted 80 col. on
color composite you had to opt. for a Trinitron 'Super Fine Pitch' CRT
based offering or use the Amdek RGB monitor. Typically people may have
had two monitors.

Otherwise the other common monitors were the Amdek 300 or 300A. The A
was the amber version, though green was most prevailent. The Monitor
/// was typically a green screen though there are limited amounts of
them out there that are a slight magenta though darker tint. they also
usually have a different color inset bezel around the CRT but not
always.

The AppleColor Monitor came later with the enhanced //e offering. That
was the color composite monitor that has the switch to go B&W, it shuts
down two guns and goes grayscale to make the 80 col. look better.

The AppleColor 100 is the RGB that was offered by Apple for the //e -
this monitor is actually an Apple /// monitor- restyled for the //e.
The front lower edge of this monitor is like the Monitor /// - so that
the thing can stack on the Apple /// lid. Notice that the ProFile also
has the same lower front upslope feature and the ProFILE stacks under
the Monitor /// on the slide under stand for the Apple ][+, //e.

The AppleColor 100 is a 'digital' mode monitor, the AppleColor RGB
(IIgs) is analog. There is an internal switch inside the Color 100
monitor that will flip the color base from 16 to 8 to go between the
Apple /// and //e.
