In my excitement, I overlooked the fact that "network boot" is currently written to fit in the unenhanced //e ROM, and would need to be re-worked for a IIgs ROM...so a IIgs "Crate" isn't as straightforward as I assumed. But there is loads of ROM space set aside for the IIgs. It is available through the Memory expansion slot. Speaking of memory expansion, wouldn't that help a bit along with all those audio oscillators??
There's plenty of main board ROM space, but it would require me to figure out how to get it to run my code. ;-) Cards in slots are a serious impediment to stacking boards close together, but a ROM3 would provide *plenty* of memory. But since a IIgs already *has* a polyphonic bank of digital oscillators, using DAC522 to generate sound seems a little superflouous. ;-) -michael NadaNet networking for Apple II computers!
