Try cleaning the edge contacts with a pencil
eraser and wipe them clean after. You can wipe
them down with a cotton swab dipped in alcohol
as well. Also be sure that the card doesn't lean
off too far to one side. This will pull the edge
contact away from the spring contact in the slot.
Especially depending on how roughly it has been
treated in the past. I had one that I needed to
replace the socket in it was so badly mistreated.
