I found my Copy II Plus disk, but I'm not sure how to go about editing
the disk. The file is stored on the HD, so I'm not sure if the program
can access it.To edit a disk *image* file, as opposed to a disk itself, you need
to block edit the file, *not* the hard disk (something to be avoided).
Even then, converting from ProDOS 5.25" disk block numbers to relative
bytes in a disk image file is potentially very error prone. (The
instructions for disk edits that you have refer to the blocks of
a physical 5.25" disk, not to an image file.)
I'd recommend using a program (DiskMaker, DSK2FILE, etc.) to create
a real 5.25" disk from the image file, then block edit that as
prescribed, then, if you wish, re-image the patched disk.
Alternatively, run an emulator, mount the disk image, and use your
block editor on the image.
