Apple IIgs -- 20th anniversary today!

    Today, September 15th, 2006, marks the 20th year anniversary
of the Apple IIgs! 

    Seems almost unreal that the the machine is now 20 years old,
in my mind it feels like it was only a few short years ago when I 
was marveling at (and drooling over) all its state-of-the-art bells 
and whistles! Wow...time flies.

    A decade ago I wrote a message that I hoped in 10 years time
(i.e. this very day) there'd still be many of us using the machine...

Well... I still have my Apple IIgs on my desk beside me. It's moved 
from the center of my desk off to the side, but still there nonetheless. 
More than that, I still enjoy adding new hardware to it and using it!

    Hopefully it'll still be running another decade from now (or at
least when it turns a quarter century old in 2011). :)
