I do remember that the GS-RAM/GS-RAM+ had different chips to plug in if 
you had either a ROM 1 or a ROM 3 GS.  They had the instructions and the 
different chip included with it.  When I got mine, I believe it came 
already set up for a ROM 1.

I ran across one the other day when I was looking for something else, I 
don't know if it was for the ROM 1 or ROM 3 and for the life of me, I 
can't remember where I saw it at this point...  I've looked in some of 
the obvious spots in my apartment, but it hasn't helped me find it.
