I can't think of a reason it wouldn't run on an SE, unless it was
memory. What System is your SE running? (check the "About this Mac"
under the Apple Menu)
Appleshare 2 will only run with Mac System 6. Appleshare 3 would
probably crash with System 6.

I used to have AS V2 running on this SE/30 with System 6. Now the
SE/30 has 7.5.3 running and AS V3. I don't think an SE is that much
different than an SE/30 unless it only uses 800 KB floppies.

I don't have a clue where my install disks are for AS V3, but I recall
seeing them on one of the pirate sites.
First make sure you're running System 6 on the SE. There shouldn't be
a problem.
