Re: Apple //e Power Supply Quickfix



Hi Bill,

I recently had the same problem of my //e power supply carking it, and
I fixed it in a similar manner, however, unfortunately for me I
attempted to just remove the //e's power adapter (the plug that clicks
onto the motherboard) and had a hells time of trying to attach it to my
replacement AT power supply's wires.

In fact, I could not find any bullet terminals (that are crimped onto
the end of each wire) of the same size as was used previously, and mine
tend to fall out if the wire is tugged accidentally. I now wish I had
gone the same route as yourself and just cut the //e's wire and done a
little soldering.... oh well, you live and you learn.  ;-)

If anyone knows an easy method of reattaching one of these plugs or
where you can get the correct bullet terminals, I'm all ears.
