I came across two Shrinkit archives for a Modula-2 system. It turns
out that it is a DOS 3.3 based system which comes up with the title
screen:
Comint II0 11.1.84
Modula-2 System
Version 2.0
(C) Copyright Modula Corporation 1984
It seems to use single letter commands. I figured out that "1" lists
files on drive 1, "2" on drive 2, and "EDIT" will ask for a file and
takes you to a line editor. What I can't figure out is how to compile
or otherwise run the program that I have entered. For that matter, how
to list it while it is in memory since "L" asks for a new filename to
load.
So.. I am hoping that there is someone here with a long memory who can
shed some light on how to use this ancient system. Any half-remembered
commands, etc. would be appreciated. I'm hoping to use this to replace
a Modula-2 program that I used for grading with my now dead Kaypro II.
A first simple step would be to view the disk images and search for
possible strings of text. Using CiderPress I found a few interesting
pieces of info.
Try /HELP
CiderPress defaulted to Merlin on a .def file which offers some info as
well.
Then there's this in the file SEK.ABS,
ASSEMBLER ... - CONVERT (PASCAL TO BASIC ... (LILITH COMMUNICATION)
Funny thing is.. I posted the "Apple II Programmer's Archive" about 9
years ago and I have no memory of this system nor any copies on old
5.25" floppies.
I thought the name sounded familiar. Let us know how it goes.
Cheers,
Mike T.
