Um, at 3MHz, wiring shape is not much of an issue--even *length* is
hardly an issue!  Ground planes are rare.  The only signal integrity
consideration is long parallel runs of signals, and *that's* marginal.

You must be accustomed to designing 100+MHz boards.  ;-)
