You already got one answer. Here is more specifics.

I work for free just because I like Apple stuff. But I still need to
manufacture the boards.
If I knew that I could cell 100 units, the price per board would be much
lower. If I only
assume 10 units will be sold, each PCB will cost about $25. Blank PCB.
The parts are not very expensive, but again more expensive in small
quantities.
Also I don't know that ALL the units I make will be sold so I can't cell at
cost.

As I said before my design work is free because it is fun. Assembling the
boards is NOT fun.
Nobody will do it for cheap if only a few units are made.

The number $100 is not an exact calculation of the cost. It is just a
convenient figure. If
CF boards are being bought, this is a similar device with more
functionality, so probably
the price is right.

Oh, and if you order 100 units, do I have a deal for you!
