But you could grind a circuit board witha  "Dremel" tool.

I've not done it for something that has to fit in an existing slot,
but I have taken circuit board stock and ground away copper where
I need insulation to make a circuit board, and I've done it for
ICs.  But it's a hybrid form that I use, using small guage wire
to connect up much of it.
