hi,

I tried this:
    with ESC E (12 char/inch): good printing
    with ESC N (10 char/inch): rather good, "gj" have a clear lower line.
    with ESC n (9 char/inch): bad printing, the bottom line of "gj" is 
missing or very clear, as if the pin was "weak" or short.

    But, why isn't this pin too short is the two first modes?

    I'm asking myself: is the carriage faster when printing wide characters? 
If so, this could be a problem of speed.
