Michael,

   Thank you for your viewpoints.   Again, no offense.  You just raised
an issue I had some bubblings about, and now you have enlightened me on
an angle I was only dimly of.   As I do computer consulting for a
living, I'm still in the "businessman" phase of life.  :-)

    For myself, the way I justisfied the cost was as follows.   I have
a IIgs that I paid around $100 for with the all accessories.. and a
CFFA card.. another $100.   Then a monitor that cost around $400.   So
I'm plugging a $200 system into a $400 monitor with a $150 device that
I didn't have to spend any time on.    Finding this solution took many
hours, though, but that was my attempt at a contribution (hopefully) to
the Apple community.

   I am still attempting to find other solutions.. just for the sake of
finding them.
