I just tried my copies of Zaxxon and Super Zaxxon. Both work fine
from on my ROM 3 Apple IIGS, although neither are original disks. It's
quite likely (and ironic) the copy-protection scheme is incompatible
with the GS's emulation mode. Is your Zaxxon an original?
I have several 8-bit games that won't run on the IIGS, yet many of
those also won't run on the Apple IIc or an enhanced Apple IIe. Some
break if a 6502 processor or a connection to a Disk II drive isn't present
(Karateka, Drol and Randam are some I can think off hand).
