is there a test-programm like "CheckIt" for the Apple? Testing all devices and give information about the ROM (UniDisk yes/no)I don't know CheckIt but I have found "Apple IIe, IIc, and Apple IIgs Diagnostic 2.1" 3.5" diskette if that is of any use.
The OP brings up the need for a piece of software that really had little use to most users when Apple II systems were "current": a single disk (in both 5.25" and 3.5" flavors) that can quickly identify an Apple II system and its configuration, including as many connected cards and peripherals as possible. This is a non-trivial task, but, as people accumulate a number of systems, the need to quickly identify and evaluate them is increasing. Perhaps even a version that could communicate its (gross) results using a "beep code" so that it could be run without a monitor... -michael Parallel computing for 8-bit Apple II's!
