That applies to US universities, and I don't live in that country.
Yes, there is a world outside the US (surprise?).

And if the claim "the value of something is the price agreed
upon between a willing seller and a willing buyer" was universally
true, then no-one would ever feel cheated afterwards.  But
people dom from time to time....
