I believe the 70 watts rating is a spike or max rating. Meaning you can
pull up to 70 watts for a few seconds, but not sustained or RMS. The max
possible output of the unit without pushing it outside it's specs or causing
damage would be 45 watts. Or at least that's what I read about the IIgs
Power Supply. I could be wrong as I don't have any technical documentation
for it nor did I research the circuitry in the Power Supply or make any
calculations.
Maybe someone can verify the 45 watts +/- of the standard IIgs Power Supply?
