I keep hoping Ed Eastman, or someone else will come up with the

I keep wishing Michael Mahon would stop development of his AppleCrate
project (interesting as it is) and solve this problem! It seems like
every time someone posts a message about some scan doubler that they are
experimenting with, Michael (hi Mike!) jumps in with a pile of frequency
analysis / technical comments. It makes me think he is probably the
only guy (aside from Ed) who could really do it.
Hi, back! ;-)
1. I was under the impression that Ed was making progress on this
problem.
2. Solder-slinging is "plan B" for me--I try software first. (Not
that it would do much good in this case. ;-)
3. I'm sure there are others with a clear picture of the problem,
and possible solutions.
4. If *I* stop working on the AppleCrate, then *no one* will be
working on it. ;-(
I'm coming to the conclusion that no one else is very interested in
networking machines for experimental purposes. All the interest is
apparently in file sharing and web connectivity, which I find
uninteresting and take completely for granted, like air.
