Have you tried the CP/AM 4.0B or CP/AM 5.1 that Applied Engineering
supplied with their Z80 cards? It seems to be a lot more advanced than
the CP/M that came with the MS Softcard.

5.1 supports //c and IIgs serial ports as well as a lot of other later
Apple II hardware like Unidisk 3.5s, big RAM cards, and Sider hard
drives, so I would expect it to support the SSC, but I can't say that
I've tried it with one.
