Re: Blinking Light Apple II

So, would there be enough interest in a LED display with Address and data
bus, some of the signals like R/W, NMI, IRQ, and RDY. Maybe a card with a
ribbon cable going to a board with the LED's that the user can mount in
his/her own way into a case? Any other features? Single-step switches?
Several responses suggest something more like a hardware debugger than
a front panel.
All I want is a direct display of the Apple II bus, together with
switches to halt the processor, single step it, and perhaps DMA a byte
into or out of memory.
The device should be completely transparent to the hardware and
software, so you could use it to step through the monitor if you
so desired.
Being able to set up an address compare to halt the machine would
be nice, too, if it doesn't complicate things too much.
It should plug into the peripheral bus, with no other connections
to the Apple.
