Well, two things.

1) This group is actually dedicated to crazy people who obsess about
old Apple // computers made in the 70's and 80's.

2) The powerbook brand has officially died yesterday.  No I'm not
kidding.

So, having said that you should probably consider getting an
intel-based macbook of some sort.  It's the direction Apple is heading
and therefore will be the choice that will give you the most mileage
for your money.
