That's a good experiment, since cooling the chip causing the problem
will extend the time it runs, thus locating the problem chip.

It's also worthwhile to try a beefier power supply, since low
or noisy power reduces chip operating margins.  If it still fails
when power is good, then its a flakey chip.


Are these gal chips still available??  GSE has the gals for the
ramworks gs.. but is the card the same for the IIe??


GALs are programmable parts, so each different application of
them is totally different.  Making a new one for the Transwarp
would mean reverse-engineering a good one.
