Then I am wondering who is still using floppies these days? I visit aa
local retail store, and I've seen 10 large boxes of 100 floppies that just
sit on the shelf. They've been there for months and people are not buying
them.

If installing Windows XP or 2003 Server on a PC (I know!) then the only
means of installing device drivers for storage adaptors not covered by
the install CD is via a floppy.

Or by slipstreaming the drivers onto a copy of the install CD, a
method becoming very popular these days--particularly with all
the updates that can also be pre-applied.

This approach can be used to make a start-and-forget CD install.
