I still use them sometimes. Usually for transferring small files between
machines which are not networked, or between mac/windows, or for later
transfer to another machine which isn't on at the time. Also used for
startup-type utilities. I don't buy any floppies though - I have lots of
spares. All those old apps I no longer use, or all those disks I used for
backing up at one stage.
