Hello!,
I got my new AppleII yesterday. (I plan to use it for parts) At first,
I didn't notice that the power cable from power supply to the board was
loose, and try to switch the machine on. There was a light on board
with nothing on screen, and disk drive was like half powering (the
light was only half lid). It takes me a while (2-3 switch on&off)
before i found out that the power cable was loose. After that, the
machine seems to work ok. The drive sounds strange
but working. I am not sure if it's a sign of old age or from my
improper operation.
I am curious if this kind of situation will break (or degrade) my
AppleII or its equipment like disk drives? I don't know much about
electronic and would love to know if most electronic equipment has a
self-defense against this situation.
