ANN: Experimental Chat System

I've been playing around with an idea for a peer-to-peer chat system using
UDP as the protocol and XML as the packet delivery method. I realize that
this isn't an Apple II application, but since I'm an Apple II user, and you
all are Apple II users, maybe a few of you might want to give it a try and
see if we can get an open Apple II chat community going.

The software is for Windows, you'll need the DotNetFramework 2.0 on your PC
for it to run. I've tested it on WinME, Win2k, and WinXP. If it works well
enough, i'll open up the source so any Linux or Mac programmers out there
could write a client.

Anyhow, if you do use it, let me know how it works. I do expect problems as
I know UDP isn't a "reliable" protocol, but I am interested in finding out
just how well it performs, or doesn't perform. It works perfectly on my
LAN, but I haven't tried it over the internet.

You'll have to be able to set Port-Forwarding on your router and configure
your PC's firewall, but the average Apple II user is more than comfortable
messing with stuff like this.
