Re: Newbie's Compucard by Rolodex problem

I've just obtained an unopened copy of Compucard by Rolodex on eBay
for the Apple IIe (I'm attempting to run the program on an Apple
IIc). The Compucard manual guides the user through the initial
process of making a working copy of the master disk using two drives,
first formatting the blank disk in the second drive. When I attempt
to do so there is a message, presumably from the second drive, "Disk
write protected" and the process comes to a halt right there. I've
tried different disks and drives with the same result. Could any kind
soul on the list give step-by-step advice on how to get out of this
stalemate, perhaps by unlocking the disk? If interested in Compucard

This is usually a malfunction of the write notch sensor, but you've
repeated it with multiple disks and drives...

Are you putting the disks in right side up? The write notch should
be on the left side when you insert it.
