Yes, it's normal under GS/OS. The Apple 5.25 drive LED (dimmly) pulses
for a fraction of a second, once every passing second. It reminds me of a
navigation light on an airplane. I seem to remember it being more annoying
on my ROM 01 since the polling created an audible clicking that would leak
into the audio output (ROM 3 resolved that).
In general its best to set Slot 7 to "Your Card" so to disable the 5.25
drive under GS/OS. It won't stop the blinking however it prevents long
and noisy grinding when scanning the drives.
