Yes, the CFFA would work. I've seen Vulcan IDE controllers that people have
added IDE CF adaptors to. They too will work. Any IDE controller card that
has a 40 pin IDE port on it will work.
What's nice about the External CF Drive is you can set it to be Master or
Slave. So on my MicroDrive I have an internal 64 Meg CF card with my main
files/ProDOS/utilities and I use the External CF Drive for images,
transferring files to and from my PC and DOS 3.3 stuff. Just a handy way
not to have to take my computer apart when I want to change CF cards. The
64 Meg CF card is nice because I don't 'eat' up all my Slots with partitions
and can add other storage expansion cards, RAM or Floppy, when needed.
