Yes. It's probably worth pointing out that modern (PC) graphics cards have processors that rival (and indeed even exceed) the processing power of your motherboard CPU - not to mention up to 2.1GB/s bus bandwidth (AGP 8x).
I'll leave it as an exercise for the reader to work out how long it would take to push 2.1GB across the A2 bus! ;)
