Lis'ner by Bob Bishop has been found by Andy McFadden.

Is there any relationship between this software and Steve Ciarcia's "lisn'er" board for A2? I picked up one of the latter at a flea market, but have never been able to find the software or any user docs.

No, only the names are similar.

THe Lis'ner 1000 board has its own microphone input and uses LPC
analysis of sounds sampled at about 6.2kHz to derive parameters
that are matched with a table for recognition.

The software permits eight tables of eight words each, for a
contextual vocablulary of 64 words.

It also accomodates an optional SSI-263 speech synthesis
chip for verbal feedback.
