Re: Help With Time in a Bottle
Well, I have an update on my adventure. One of the regulars here was
kind enough to send me some CDs for the Mac I bought in the hopes that
I could reformat and reinstall the OS so I could use it again. The
disks came today, so I gave it a go. Unfortunately, the computer
wouldn't boot off of the CD. I did manage to get into the CD.
Reinstalled 7.6, but couldn't reinitialize the hard drive. I did notice
on the CD there was an update to At Ease, which gave me a crazy idea. I
figured if I used the update, it might reset the program, so I gave it
a try. Don't know if the levels of access are still there, but
fortunately, the program is shut off. Went into the Extensions Manager
to make sure the At Ease startup was disabled. Anyway, I now have full
access to my Mac without losing any software. I'd like to remove At
Ease, if possible, as well as some of the software I don't need, but
I'm not sure how to go about it.
