I wrote the following program:

10 HOME
20 PRINT CHR$(1)+"0D"
30 PRINT CHR$(1)+"0P"
40 PRINT CHR$(1)+"1T": REM IGNORE UPPER/LOWERCASE
40 FOR A = 65 TO 122
50 PRINT CHR$(A)
60 NEXT A

I typed it in, and followed it up with:

PR#2
RUN

The Apple IIe monitor showed:

ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ[\]^_`abcdefgh
ijklmnopqrstuvwxyz

The Telix screen showed a high ASCII version of the same.  Ie:  IBM
ASCII line-drawing and foreign characters in numeric sequence from
decimal 193 to 250.
