I'd get the cheapest all-in-one after the Mac Plus at the local
second-hand store.  An SE with a FDHD would be fine, as would
an LC or pizza-box Performa of any flavor.  I regularly saw them
for less than $10 until a few years ago, when I expect even Goodwill
started junking them.  A conversation with a worker might save one
from the dumpster.
