The other issue (I seem to remember) is with the termination
resistor(s) themselves. There should only be one on each end of the
chain ... the card itself and the last device. I seem to remember (in
the deep dark past) buying a SCSI harddrive in a case which had
termination resisitors installed on the drive inside the case. It
messed things up until I opened the case and physically removed the
two (?) SIP resistor packs.
