I have a platinum IIe with the matching Apple monitor. It's an 'AppleColor Composite Monitor IIe', model A2M6021X. The Apple logo on the monitor is on the bottom right face of the monitor, so it sits vertically in line with the logo on the platinum IIe which is on the right just above the keyboard.

That's too close for me, even with my bifocals!  ;-)
