How can I get my ProDos 2.0.3, dated in 1999, to give the correct year of
2006? Anyone know an easy answer?

Run the Basic program CLOCK.PATCH from the Apple II System disk. This
will update your version of ProDOS to give the correct date for the
next 7 years. The fact that your ProDOS has a date of 1999 indicates
to me that someone last ran the patch on it then and thus why it needs
to be done again this year.

Please post future queries to comp.sys.apple2. This group is for the

But since the thread is here, I'll respond here...

The patch is good for *five or six* years. Each leap year
takes up two slots in the 7-entry year table. If you patch
it to start at 2006, it will work through 2011, since only
one leap year, 2008, is included.

If you patch it (next year) to start at 2007, it will work
through Feb. 29, 2012.
